Montbello murder leaves questions
Contributed by: Kevin Villegas/YourHub.com   on 6/20/2007

Montbello is generally a quiet neighborhood. Tucked away in the far northeast corner of the city and county of Denver, it features mostly homes with a few commercial properties.

Although it's median household income is lower than the metro area average, it boasts a younger population than average, with 40 percent of households having children at home.

That's why it's pretty shocking when an alleged murder happens there.

The Rocky Mountain News has more information about the woman who was found dead in her home on the 5500 block of Hannibal Street on June 16.

Police have also said that they are still looking for the man who they believe may have taken her daughter. Sources told police that they believe the man may have taken the young girl to Mexico.

The news out of El Paso, Texas is that the man may be taking the daughter to Zacatecas, Mexico and going through El Paso and Las Cruces, N. M. You can read the whole article from KDBC4 by clicking here.

Police aren't exactly sure what happened to cause the woman to be murdered, but believe that it all started with a domestic dispute. A neighbor told them that they had heard fighting coming from the house on Friday night.

What do you think about what happened in Montbello? We want to hear from you, so post your own story or letter to the editor about it or why not write a blog?
