Hope Online Learning Academy (Hope Online), a Douglas County School District public charter school, is currently accepting enrollments for the 2008-2009 school year.
Hope Online offers the benefits of online education to at-risk k-12 students in Colorado. By utilizing engaging online curriculum, customized lessons and one-on-one attention from highly qualified teachers, students are able to learn at their own pace.
"Hope Online seeks to offer alternative paths to educational success," says Heather O'Mara, chief executive officer of Hope Online. "Every child in Colorado should have equal access to a quality education. At Hope Online, students benefit from curriculum that meets state content standards while developing critical skills for the 21st century."
Bridging the digital divide, Hope Online students participate in online education by attending a neighborhood Learning Center. Learning Centers provide students with a nurturing, safe environment, encouragement and supervision of mentors and the resources they need in order to learn.
"The students are excited about learning, and it shows. That's what we offer here - a safe, supportive place where students can discover their potential," says Sharon Alexander-Holt of Hope Online at Urban League of Metropolitan Denver.
With Learning Centers across the Front Range, there are a variety of convenient locations to choose from, including two right here in Montbello:
