East holds on to first place in DPL

A classic Denver Prep rivalry manifested itself yet again at East High School, 1545 Detroit St., on Sept. 24 when the East Angels took on the Montbello Warriors, this time in volleyball.

The Angels' 25-13, 25-14, 25-10 sweep of the Warriors at East High School on Sept. 24 puts them at 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the Denver Prep League, which leaves them tied for first with Thomas Jefferson High School. The Angels take on George Washington High School at the East High School gym, 1545 Detroit St., at 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

The Angels host the George Washington Patriots on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. The Warriors host the West High Cowboys at 6 p.m. at Montbello High School, 5000 Crown Blvd.

I was wondering if you may have more pictures from this game. My daughter plays for Montbello #14. It was nice to see an article even though it was for east but Montbello was also recognized.
