The Montbello Warriors handily defeated Brighton in boy's 5A state tournament action Feb. 24 at Chaparral High School. Montbello (16-8) controlled the second half, finally running away with the game and winning 77-56.
Brighton finishes their season 18-7 while Montbello advances to play Chaparral (22-1), of Parker, in the sweet sixteen Wednesday, March 1.
