Athletics and Beyond "Student Athlete"
Drew Davis returned home for the weekend to teach football technique and the importance of academic work ethic to youth football players ages seven through fourteen. Drew is the recipient of the most prestigious African-American scholar athlete in the Nation the Watkins Award. He is the first Athletics and Beyond Student Athlete of the year who maintained a 4.0 grade point average all four years in high school and is an early high school graduate. He is now in his second year at the University of Oregon maintaining a 3.8 grade point average as well as performing well as a football player for the Ducks. Last season as a "True Freshman" he scored his first touchdown on national TV.
Montbello resident, Drew, flew into Denver this past weekend along with Denver native, Washington Husky, wideout,
Devin Aguilar to help with our youth. It is the work ethic and humble personality that makes Drew a role model.
