Blog Entry 24 of 32 Into the hills
I started working at YourHub.com in October of 2005. Lucky for me I actually live in the area I cover for YourHub.com, which makes me feel a little more in touch with my community and I hope to tell you what that is like and get some feedback. I’ll also let you know what’s going on with me and share some observations about whatever’s on my mind. I might also throw in a book review here or there, although I doubt it will be anything too earth shattering. My hope is to find some other reviewers out there, for books, restaurants, entertainment, etc... Enjoy!

Print edition: Thanksgiving
Contributed by: Rebecca Zimmerman/YourHub.com   on 11/13/2007

I can't believe it's almost that time a year again. Soon many houses will be filled with the smell of turkey roasting in the oven and a smorgasbord of good dishes will be arranged on the table for everyone to partake in.

Thanksgiving holds a special place in my heart. I got married on Thanksgiving weekend. Sound crazy? Well it was, but also a blast - it really just turned into a four-day party. Thanksgiving on Thursday; wedding rehearsal, dinner and karaoke (and a bachelor party that I was NOT invited to) on Friday; actual wedding on Saturday; then off on a cruise ship to the Caribbean for my honeymoon on Sunday (I also heard rumors the party continued with wedding guests at my parent's house on Sunday, sans the bride and groom of course).

So, as you can see, Thanksgiving is a good reminder that my wedding anniversary iscoming up- (just kidding-I'm pretty good at remembering this.)

At any rate, YourHub.com also likes Thanksgiving, and, if you haven't noticed, our print editions come out on Thursdays and Thanksgiving always lands on a Thursday. We want to make our Thanksgiving edition special, but of course, we need your help.

I would love to hear your stories about great Thanksgiving memories, traditions, what your plans are for this year, poems, etc... The sky's the limit. Also, I'm looking for some great Thanksgiving photos to go on the cover of our paper (wouldn't you like to see your photo on the cover of our Thanksgiving print edition?). Maybe your child will be in a Thanksgiving play or activity at school, or you just want to show off some creative decorating.

Please get posting! The sooner the better - as we start planning our Thanksgiving paper this Friday, Nov. 16!
