HubCap: Our Mom & Pop bloggers

The Internet is great. Before it (remember before the Internet? Like, when Encyclopaedia Brittanica took up a sturdy bookshelf instead of a url?), we had to read books or talk to other people to get information.

Now, we can just look online. For example, if you want to know how to rebuild the engine of your lawnmower, you can just type it into your search engine and be pointed to Jack's Small Engines in Jarrettsville, Maryland. Not sure how to make pickled pigs' feet? You'll find an answer on Cooks. com. (First step: Wash the pigs' feet.) Making your own ketchup at home? Click here. Raising a family? Check YourHub.com. What?

Yes, check YourHub.com, your source of parenting advice. Well, maybe not so much advice as much as a place to air your grievances or share the trials you're experiencing as a parent. Or you can just read what other people are going through.

We've got a couple of new parenting bloggers covering both the mom and dad sides of the parenting battle.

Nikki Britain, of Parker, has a 6-year-old, Spencer, and 6-month-old twins, Grant and Tate. She writes about all of them in her blog, My Life Amongst the Y-Chromosomes. Both the twins have croup right now, and although I didn't know what that was until I read her blog about it, it sounds like it sucks, for both the twins and Mom.

Chris Stone, of Evergreen, and his wife, who are both in their 40s, just adopted " M," D-Man and Binky Boy, three siblings all under the age of 5. Where I come from, the we call people like the Stones "gluttons for punishment." He's detailing what he's learning in his blog, Father knows ... something. Let's figure out what.

Of course, we've always had Stephanie Blake, our original queen of poop and boogers, whose blog, Adventures of a Stay Home Mom, covers, well, most of the things her kids will be embarrassed about in a few years. Mmm.

And our own Community Journalist Steve Shultz is expecting a baby in 10 weeks he's starting the countdown on his blog.

Got some advice for parents out there? Click here to post it.
