Parmalee Elementary School, 4460 Parmalee Gulch Rd., in Indian Hills is closing for today's school day because of a power outage that has affected the school.

At this time, the school is making calls to Parmalee parents asking them to pick-up their children from the school.

The district is providing bus transportation to students, whose parents have been contacted and the school knows an adult will be at home when the child arrives home.

Parents are asked to call Parmalee Elementary's main office at 303-982-8014 to confirm that an adult will be home to greet returning students.

The school will close for the school day, Monday, March 17, because the power outage has affected school-safety and there is limited electricity to provide student lunches.

Students who must remain at school will be served a limited lunch service and supervised by school staff.
