It is time again for the summer fun camps at Abiding Hope Preschool and Kindergarten. We are proud to offer children a summer filled with adventure and fun, where they can explore God's incredible blue planet and places beyond. Children can come and discover the wonders of water, plus they can build, create, play, and let their minds run wild. The staff and children all have an extraordinary time as they celebrate and enjoy the "lazy days" of summer. The children's imaginations blossom as they explore the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of the universe!
Here are the play-based themes the children will be experiencing this summer:
Animal Planet: June 15-19
Super-Hero Adventures: June 22-26
Construction Zone: June 29-July 3
Wacky Water: July 6-10
Mad Scientist: July 13-17
Christmas in July: July 20-24
Outer Space Adventures: July 27-31
Three-Ring Circus: Aug. 3-7
The summer program focuses on learning through imaginative play and creations. The lesson design is individualized for ages 2½-year-olds to 9-year-olds. It is a wonderful transition into preschool for the younger campers, especially for those who are preparing to attend for the first time in the fall. Parents can choose from a variety of enrollment options: Children can attend from one day a week up to 5 days a week, for either the entire day or part of the day.
Another bonus of the summer camp is that the pre-school and kindergarten teachers staff the program. That helps the children build a trust system with adults outside of their families. This is also helpful for the staff, because they already know many of the kids who are attending camp, including alumni who are in grade school. Reconnecting with alumni in the summer is heartwarming for the staff. The consistency of staffing is also beneficial for the children's transition back into the school year, as the children can anticipate whom they will be seeing on a day-to-day basis.
Abiding Hope Pre-School and Kindergarten is still accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 school year. There is now an even wider range of choices: We are offering 9 a.m.-3 p.m. sessions in the 3s, pre-k, and kindergarten/ junior kindergarten to better accommodate parents' schedules.
