Help Colorado babies

Everyday in Colorado, newborn infants are being sent home from hospitals wearing only a t-shirt and a diaper to live in a car, homeless shelter, a home with no heat or on the streets with their family. One hospital has estimated that 30% (1000) of the babies delivered at their facility each year will go home to one of these unsatisfactory living conditions.

Warm Hearts-Warm Babies is a non-profit organization that believes these babies need to have warm clothing and blankets so they can survive the conditions they are born into.

Along with newborn items, these volunteers also sew, knit, and crochet premature clothing and burial outfits. These items are normally very difficult to find due to their small size and extremely expensive if they can be located. A family grieving the loss of a child often is not financially or emotionally able to shop for the outfit their child will be buried in.

Warm Hearts-Warm Babies produces and donates over 3500 items each month to hospitals, foster care, and other children's agencies in Colorado. That way when a hospital employee sees a family in need of a burial outfit or clothing they have it available.

In many cases our volunteers have a limited income but a large amount of time including seniors living in assisted living centers. Your financial grant allows us to provide supplies such as yarn to those volunteers that cannot afford to purchase their own.

In addition to funding, Warm Hearts-Warm Babies is also looking for additional voluteers to help Colorado's smallest citizens. For additional infomation please visit our websiee www.warmheartswarmbabies.org or email us at info@warmheartswarmbabies.org
