Jeffco Action Center's 60th Beautiful Junk Sale Coming Up

The 60 th Beautiful Junk Sale benefiting the programs of Jeffco Action Center will take place October 20 and 21 at the Jeffco Fairgrounds in Golden. Items donated to the Center, but not given to clients, go on sale during this two-day event. At the bi-annual sale, you will find an amazing selection of collectables, jewelry, vintage, odds and ends and a vast array of household items. The sale has a reputation as one of the largest rummage sales in the region.

This sale adds a new twist ; Early Bird Shopping on Friday from 7:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. For a $15 fee, Early Bird shoppers will have first opportunity to shop the incredible selection, filling the 10,400 square foot Exhibit Hall. Admission for regular sale hours is $1 each day. All admission monies collected will go directly to the Center's food bank, where two tons of food is distributed daily to the hungry in the County. Regular sale hours are Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

This eclectic sale began 30 years ago, once sponsored and coordinated by Church Women United. Over the years the sale continued to thrive, ultimately out growing local church and school halls, moving to the Fairgrounds last fall. However, over the course of the first 59 sales nearly $250,000 was raised to support the Center's programs.

Jeffco Action Center is a non profit emergency services agency providing an immediate response to basic human needs for more than 50,000 Jefferson County residents annually. The Centers programs include a 22-bed homeless shelter, food and clothing banks, medical support, personal care items along with limited financial assistance for rent and utilities
