On July 23, 2007, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 8400 block of Scenic Drive in reference to a dead body found at vacant home which is currently for sale.
At 4:12 p.m., the dispatch center received a 911 call from a realtor who was in the process of showing the property to a client when they discovered a deceased male lying on the ground near the home.
Based on the condition of the decomposed body, investigators believe that the subject had been there for some period of time.
Sheriff's investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and have no identifying information about the deceased.
The victim is described as an adult male, 5"8"-5'10" tall, medium build, long black ponytail, wearing newer blue jeans, a grey T-shirt with the word "DECA" on the left breast and brown work shoes.
Sheriff's investigators will work closely with the coroner's office to determine the identity of the deceased and the exact cause of death. More information will be released as the investigation continues.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
