Police blotter: Burglar got in through doggie door

WORKPLACE THEFT INVESTIGATED
Sheriff's deputies investigated a report of theft at the Arapahoe Health Center, 28000 Meadow Drive, Evergreen on Aug. 12. An employee reported a paycheck and gift card in an envelope in her briefcase has been stolen from her office between July 16 and July 30. No suspects were identified.

HOME VANDALISM REPORTED
Deputies investigated vandalism at a home on Silver Fir Court in Littleton reported about 8:42 a.m. Aug. 14. The homeowner discovered someone had painted smiley faces on both panes of a wooden from door and a side window. Deputies said they noticed other paint damage as well. The vandalism was apparently done overnight.

BURGLAR GOT IN THROUGH DOGGIE DOOR
The owner of a home under construction on the 4100 block of Game Trail in Indian Hills reported a burglary on Aug. 15. Deputies said between 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 and 10:20 a.m. Aug. 15, someone entered through a rear doggie door and stole a jack hammer, a planer and an air compressor. There was no immediate estimated of value of the equipment.

GARAGE BURGLARY INVESTIGATED
Deputies investigated the burglary of a home on the 6000 block of South Brook Forest Road, Evergreen reported on Aug. 17. The owners said a 16-ich chainsaw, 15-foot canoe with oars and two life jackets were stolen from a detached garage. The theft is believed to have occurred between 3 p.m. Aug. 14 and 11 a.m. Aug. 17. There was no immediate estimate of value. Deputies were provided with suspect information.

WOMAN ALLEGEDLY LIFTED BRA
Deputies arrested a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of shoplifting Aug. 19 after she was allegedly seeing stealing merchandise from a Sears store at 8501 W. Bowles Ave. in Littleton. Security personnel said they saw the woman conceal a bra in a bag she was carrying and try to leave without paying. Later, store security also discovered other merchandise in the bag was also stolen from other stores in the same shopping mall as Sears. The woman was issued a summons for theft.
