BURGLAR SEEN FLEEING GARAGE
Deputies investigated a burglary at a home on the 10100 block of West Fremont Place on Aug. 30. A resident told deputies he heard an automatic garage open about 1:35 a.m. and saw a man running from the driveway. The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build and short hair. A car in the driveway and one in the garage, both unlocked, had been entered.
TRAILER BREAK-IN INVESTIGATED
On Aug. 29, deputies investigated the break-in of a storage trailer at a store on the 8400 block of South Kipling Parkway. Between 6 p.m. Aug. 25 and 6 p.m. Aug. 27, someone cut a lock off the trailer and left graffiti on the side of the trailer. Nothing appeared missing from the trailer, the report stated.
SHOPLIFTER ARRESTED
Deputies issued a summon for theft to a 54-year-old man about 2:10 p.m. Aug. 29 after he allegedly tried to steal several DVDs from a Sears store at 8501 W. Bowles Ave. Security personnel said the man concealed the DVDs and tried to leave without paying for them.
CAR ENTRY INVESTIGATED
On Aug. 30, deputies investigated theft from a vehicle parked at a residence on the 9300 block of West Ontario Drive. Between 12:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., someone stole an iPod, sunglasses, baseball glove and bat, and three baseball caps. There was no indication for forced entry.
PUNCH THROWN IN PARKING LOT DISPUTE
Deputies investigated an assault reported about 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 at a King Soopers, 9800 Belleview Ave. A man reported he got into an argument over being blocked while driving through the parking lot with a woman and her son. He told deputies the woman attempted to slap him, striking him in the shoulder and her son punched him in the face, and threw him on the ground in a head lock until a security officer separated them. Deputies said the victim declined to pursue criminal charges.
