Police blotter: Purses taken in burglary

PURSES TAKEN IN BURGLARY
A resident of the 6400 block of West Frost Driver reported a burglary on Oct. 2.
A kitchen window screen was cut between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m., a two purses taken from a kitchen table and the contents dumped in the back yard, and a small amount of cash was stolen.

ROAD RAGE INCIDENT INVESTIGATED
Deputies investigated a report of a road rage incident about 5:42 a.m. Oct. 2 on U.S. 285 and Branderberger Driver. A 19 year-old reported he was pushed against his car by another driver during an argument after a traffic altercation earlier as both drove northbound on U.S. 285. There were no injuries and the 19-year-old driver declined to press charged against the unidentified other driver.

WALLET STOLEN FROM TRUCK
A 48-year-old women reported Oct. 2 about theft from her truck while parked at a grocery store on the 3800 block of Evergreen Parkway in Evergreen on Sept. 30. A report stated the truck was unlocked when someone took a wallet from a purse and a quantity of painkillers were stolen about 9:20 a.m.

CAR BREAK-INS REPORTED
On Oct. 2, deputies investigated two car break-ins at the Mountain View Park 'N Ride lot on the 11700 block of U.S. 285 in Conifer. A resident reported his 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier was broken into between 6 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. A rear window was broken and a stereo torn from the dashboard. Deputies found a second vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, also had a stereo stolen after a window was smashed.

PURSE BRIEFCASE TAKEN FROM TRUCK
A resident of the 8300 block of South Pierce Way reported a break-in to her 2006 Honda Ridgeline on Oct. 3. The vehicle was parked in the driveway overnight when some used a rock to break out a window and stole a purse and briefcase from the front seat. The purse contained two pairs of sunglasses, credit cards, checkbooks and personal papers. The briefcase was later found in the roadway on West Payne Drive.
