Sheriff blotter: Repeat shoplifter busted


Incidents reported by Jeffco Sheriff COOKIE THIEF ARRESTED A deputy issued a man a summons for theft April 16 after he was allegedly seen trying to steal two packages of cookies at Walgreen's, 7443 W. Chatfield Ave. A store employee reported seeing the man conceal the cookies in his jacket and try to leave the story without paying. REPEATER SHOPLIFTER BUSTED A woman two summonses for theft on April 16 after she was allegedly seen trying to steal hand lotion from a Sears store in Southwest Plaza, 8501 W. Bowles Ave., about 5:55 p.m. Employees told the deputy it was the second time the woman was captured on video tape stealing merchandise from the store. She was issued the summonses and released. TRUCK BREAK-IN REPORTED About 5:30 p.m.on April 21, a deputy investigated the break-in of a Ford F250 truck parked on the 8400 block of South Kipling Parkway. The owner reported he had been at a nearby restaurant from about 4 p.m., and discovered a computer, golf clubs and other equipment had been stolen when he returned. There was no sign of forced entry, according to the report.
