Sheriff blotter: Mystery of the new windows probed



WHO DID THE WINDOWS?
On Oct. 23, a deputy was dispatched to a home for sale on the 7100 block of South Cody Way. A real estate agent reported someone apparently broke into the foreclosed house and installed six new windows and frames sometime after Oct. 10.

RACIAL SLUR REPORTED
A deputy investigated a harassment complaint on the 8300 block of South Upham Way on OCt. 22. A resident said she and her daughter were walking their dog outside their apartment when a neighbor allegedly made a racial slur. The deputy was unable to speak to the neighbor who allegedly made the comment immediately.

TIRE VANDALISM REPORTED
On Oct. 23, a deputy investigated vandalism to two vehicles parked on the 6700 block of of South Independence Street. The owners said the vehicle was parked outside overnight. About 7 a.m., it was discovered two tires on one vehicle and one tire on another had been slashed.

wALKING UNSTEADILY HOME
On Oct. 25, about 3:25 a.m., a deputy arrested a man walking along West Ken Caryl Avenue near South Zephyr Court. The man admitted he was walking home from a bar. It was later found he had provided a false name and had an outstanding arrest warrant. He was taken to the Jefferson County Detention Facility.
