West Metro Fire to Take Inaugural Blazin Challenge
Contributed by: West Metro Fire Rescue on 6/28/2006

After 24 years of wowing sports and wing fanatics, Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar will open its 400th location in Belmar on Monday, June 26th at 11am. In an effort to thank loyal guests, Buffalo Wild Wings will be giving away a year's supply of chicken wings to the first 400 guests in line* for the Monday morning opening.

Buffalo Wild Wings will be partnering with the West Metro FireRescue for the festivities. Members of the fire department will be camping out with guests Sunday night to tailgate for the opening and serve guests water to beat the summer heat. At 10:54am on Monday morning, Chief Don Lombardi and Chief Tony Wilkins will challenge two new fire fighters to take the Inaugural Blazin' Challenge - a hot wing eating competition where a dozen of the restaurant's Blazin' wings must be consumed in less than six minutes, without drinks, celery or blue cheese to squelch the fire. For every wing consumed, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate $100 to the West Metro Fire Rescue.

"Our 400th restaurant opening is a significant milestone for Buffalo Wild Wings and we're very excited to have the West Metro Fire Department with us to take our inaugural Blazin' Challenge at the Belmar restaurant," commented Kathy Benning, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Brand Development for Buffalo Wild Wings. "Additionally, our guests are what make our restaurants a success and we want to reward them for their loyalty over the past 24 years by giving the first 400 wing fanatics a year's supply of wings to keep them coming back for more."

The national restaurant chain has seen tremendous turnout for similar grand opening promotions across the country. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as others have been known to claim their place in line by camping out overnight and tailgating the opening of their favorite sports grill and bar. Guests must arrive before the 11 a.m. opening and remain present for the opening ceremony at 11 a.m. to receive the prize.

With Buffalo Wild Wings' 14 signature sauces running the gamut from Mild to Blazin, every taste bud can find the perfect flavor it's searching for. Buffalo Wild Wings is known for its 14 signature sauces: (from mildest to hottest) Sweet BBQ, Teriyaki, Mild, Parmesan Garlic, Medium, Honey BBQ, Spicy Garlic, Asian Zing, Caribbean Jerk, Hot BBQ, Hot, Mango Habanero, Wild and Blazin'.

Its boldly flavored menu also includes boneless wings, specialty burgers and sandwiches, finger foods, wraps, salads and Naked Tenders, which are non-breaded, all white meat chicken tenders lightly seasoned and served with a choice of one of 14 Buffalo Wild Wings signature sauces, but the main attraction is Buffalo NY-style chicken wings. Every Tuesday at Buffalo Wild Wings guests can order their favorite wings for just 35 each.

The Belmar Buffalo Wild Wings is located at 415 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood, CO.

*Each recipient of the 'Free Wings for a Year' giveaway will receive a coupon book with 52 vouchers for six free wings - one order for every week of the year.
