The Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 9 at milepost 125 1/2.  This is in Summit County approximately 2 1/2 miles south of the Grand County Line.

At 6:16 PM investigators were notified of an injury crash near the north end of Green Mtn. Reservoir.  It appears that the northbound vehicle may have crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound motorist.

A total of 5 people have been transported to Summit Medical Center in Frisco.  The fatal victim is an adult female who was a passenger in the car that was traveling northbound on Hwy 9.  The driver of that same vehicle appears to have serious injuries also.

The female driver and male passenger of the southbound vehicle will more than likely be released with minor injuries.  No alcohol or drugs are suspected at this time.  It is unknown on seatbelt usage in the vehicles.

More information names, DOB, addresses etc. will be provided as it becomes available.  Road conditions were said to be icy at the time of the accident.
