Pam Anderson for County Clerk
Contributed by: david warren on 9/28/2006

It is important for the residents of Jefferson County to know that the
position of county clerk and reporter is an important job and not an
ineffectual political position. The county clerk is charged with ensuring
that every eligible citizen has a chance to vote and that their vote is
counted. This is not an easy job when election rules and voting technology
are always changing.

The position also requires someone who can successfully manage people and
the taxpayer's checkbook. The clerk is responsible for a $9 million budget
and 123 full-time employees. It is vital, to every county resident, that the
clerk is organized and capable of handling all business aspects of the
position.

Qualifications and experience are big factors in choosing the next county
clerk. I strongly believe that Pam Anderson has all the above and necessary
qualifications to be our next clerk and recorder. Pam is an elected city
clerk for Wheat Ridge; she has effectively managed employees, budgets, city
elections, and streamlined bureaucratic paperwork for the past 3 years. In
addition to her experience, Pam also has a master's degree in public
administration.

I hope that our next county clerk is elected based on experience and the
ability to do the job. Please vote for Pam Anderson for Jefferson County
Clerk and Recorder.
