A bright idea for staying cool
Contributed by: Darlene Jones on 8/3/2006

Do you love Minature Golf, but need relief from the heat? Head on over to Southwest Plaza and check out the brightest idea in entertainment for the entire family!

Glowgolf, an operator of indoor, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf courses based in Wichita, Kansas, has opened its fourth Colorado location in Southwest Plaza. Glow-in-the-dark miniature golf is a unique family entertainment experience similar to black light or "cosmic" bowling. At Glowgolf almost everything glows in the dark under special black lights, the course obstacles, the wall dcor, the putters, even the golf balls. Glowgolf at Southwest Plaza Mall is located on the upper level next to Sears and features an 18-hole course with an area for birthday parties and group events.
Operating hours are:
10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

John Wright, area manager for the new Glowgolf at Southwest Plaza, said, "I'm very excited about the opportunity to bring Glowgolf to Southwest Plaza. I believe our concept will be an excellent addition to the mix of entertainment options in the shopping center."

Glowgolf currently operates shopping mall locations in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, Arkansas, Tennessee, Washington and Oregon.
