The Bat and the Rat

The sun was shining.
It was fun to play.
Rat was out of the house.
All the bats flew away.
The bat flew down.
The rat got away.
The bat chased the rat.
The rat hid under the mat.
The rat found some cheese
And ran under my knees.
The bat found some blood
But it was a dud!
The bat and the rat got trapped.
They did not know what would happen then.
I took them home to be my friend.
