On April 25, Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Niwot pulled fence and barbed wire from the ditch boundaries and open space adjoining the Niwot Loop Trail, improving the appearance and user safety of the of the trail and public spaces. They then moved downtown on to 2nd Ave. and removed weeds and trash and cleaned street gutters.
The efforts were part of Rotary's simultaneous world-wide work around the world involving an estimated 76,000 plus members all doing positive community support projects. The idea started four years ago as a joint district project and has mushroomed to encompass at least more than 26 Districts throughout the world. The Niwot Rotary's participation was the first for clubs in this district.
