Niwot Criterium spins through downtown

The streets of downtown Niwot were packed with spectators July 6 who came out to watch the fifth annual Niwot Criterium race.

The day featured a Main Street Dash for children under 8, several junior races and a men's and women's professional race, which were held toward the end of the day. Several participants in the Niwot Criterium have gone on to race in the Tour de France, according to organizers.

Several residents sat along Second Avenue as the bicyclists sped past.
