Motorized toys prohibited on public streets, sidewalks, and parks
Some toys have become so popular in recent years they can be seen displayed as early as October in some stores. One such toy is the much-enjoyed, and much-maligned pocket-bike. These miniature motorcycles look exactly like smaller versions of the real thing and have working, though less powerful, engines. Another toy that will start to appear in holiday displays is the motorized scooter. If you're an early shopper and already starting to get ideas for this holiday season, please keep in mind that City ordinance prohibits the use of these vehicles on public streets, sidewalks, highways, and all other public areas. While it is not illegal to own one of these toys,
it is illegal to ride them on streets, sidewalks, highways, or in parks.
