Make Every Minute Count
Life can change in the blink of an eye. Each day is precious. Live each day like it's your last...

Our community mourns...
Contributed by: Deb DeMay   on 3/20/2008

Tommy Follett was many things. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was a wonderful friend who greeted me, for one, with a big "hello" and gave great hugs. He was also a friend to our city. His journey with us was too short. He still had many things he wanted to do. Tommy's unexpected passing has left many of us feeling like we didn't get a chance to thank him, and let him know that we appreciate everything that he and Marty did. They both demonstrated great love for many organizations in Northglenn. He never failed to show his admiration for our community as evidenced by his works of kindness, and untold hours participation in different volunteer community organizations. I would like to see the community of Northglenn show it's admiration in return. Can we consider turning the 5K run into the "Tommy Follett Memorial Run", please? A memorial bench or a tree is nice, but the reminder of who and why it's put there is only in our memory during the moment that we are reading the engraved plate. Turning the 5K run into a memorial run, is an act of action. What more befitting for the man of action that Tommy was?

Thank you Tommy. We love you and miss you.

Tommy truly was a great person and an amazing blessing for our community. He will certainly be missed. I think your idea in honoring him by naming the race after him is a kind gesture.
