I don't mind the
Beatles
. They're one of those bands that made songs that I knew all the words to, if for no other reason thansome guy named
Mike
made my dad cassettes of all of their albums in 1984, and we listened to nothing else at home until approximately 1986.
But I never considered hating the Beatles, until I read
Rob Guthrie
's blog about how he hates them.

. He's a brave man. Taste is taste, you know, and if he wants to hate the Beatles, let him. He's from northeast Iowa, anyway, so I'm pretty confident he can handle himself. (Go

Rob's blog is what this contest is all about: Catharsis. Getting it out there. I imagine Rob's Beatles hate has been festering inside him for years now, and finally, he's gotten it out. Cheers to you, Rob, for having the courage to say what roughly 9,280 other people, according to

You're breaking my heart Brandon. I suppose you'll bag on Journey next. What'd Boston ever do to you? Brendan ( wow I msut have been peeved, I called you Brandon) I was just busting your chops. I do a mean Brad Delp (lead singer, Boston) at Karaoke. All I need is two bricks and button fly 501's (speaking of the 80's).

Bill, I didn't mean to rip Boston. I just used them for an example, figuring that someone might have a problem with them... Travis and I have been talking about music quite a bit lately in preparation for his anti-Megadeth rant, and we've discovered that there's something that makes you like some bands that you otherwise might not. We call it "I was making out with girls listening to that band." This is why I don't hate Ace of Base. I don't like them or feel the need to listen to them, but if an Ace of Base song comes on the radio, and no one else is around, I roll up the windows and listen. Same thing with Sheryl Crow's first album, and a lot of other stuff from 1993 to 1996, for me, anyway.
