Whether it's political or a leader of a social group it's honesty, integrity, trust and a sense of loyalty to the cause. It means standing alone sometimes when you feel something is not right or crooked and learn to "walk the walk instead of talk the talk." Actions always speak louder than words. As humans we know right from wrong and there are always times in one's life when corruption rears it's ugly head. It takes a good person to turn the other way and stand up for what is right even if the percentage of others are against you. There is also no room for arrogance, intolerance or bigotry.
Four men that I feel had these qualities in the U.S., were President
Lincoln, President
John F. Kennedy,
Bobby Kennedy and
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?"
--Martin Luther King, Jr.
