FREE Outdoor Concert With Soul School

What:
The City of Northglenn is hosting another hot season of free summer concerts at the award-winning E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. This summer the focus is on Rhythm, Blues, and Jazz. Sponsored by the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) and the Adams County Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

Concerts are on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the D.L. Parsons Theatre across the street at the Northglenn Recreation Center. Concerts moved to the Theatre will start at 7:00 p.m.

June 25
Soul School
We're starting off the summer series with a bang! Soul school is a high-energy dance band with over 150 years of combined entertainment experience, covering a vast repertoire of music including R&B, Motown, Jazz, Rock, Funk, and Contemporary. Soul School's smooth, harmonious vocals and exciting stage show will entertain and impress the most discriminating ear.

July 2
Erica Brown Band
The Erica Brown Band has been delivering high-energy blues since its inception in 1998. The band's impeccable vocals and performance have made them a favorite of festival and concert circuits all over the country.

July 9
Tempa and the Tantrums
This blues band has received many nominations and awards in Colorado for their powerful music. T&T have opened for B.B. King at Red Rocks. Led by Tempa's soulful vocals and tight sounds, this band is sure to please.

July 16
The Pharaohs of Funk
Denver's newest variety dance band featuring favorites from R&B, Jazz, Funk, Blues and Rock n' Roll. This collection of talented musicians have played all over the world with countless artists, and have now come together to create their own groove. Get ready to dance!

July 23
Me and Julio
Me and Julio are a blend of traditional acoustic instrumentation with new musical ideas. Julio Garcia and John Stone, with almost 50 years of experience between them, have joined artistically to give the Cuban Son style of music a new face in what they call Latin Fusion. It's their own blend of Cuban Son, Salsa and Trova with American Jazz, Rock and Spanish Flamenco.

July 30
Chris Daniels and The Kings
There is no better band than the world famous Chris Daniels and the Kings to wrap up this amazing series! With nine albums and three world tours, this band is sure to get you moving and touch your soul.
