Description: Northglenn, CO - E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park is the place to be on July 4, as the City of Northglenn hosts the July 4th Family Festival, the largest community event of the year.

Nationally-renowned local artist Hazel Miller and her band will perform for concert goers twice, at 6 and 8 p.m. With a musical repertoire of blues, Jazz, pop or Gospel, her 36-year career has seen her open for Mel Torme, James Brown and the Temptations.

The festival will have plenty to eat and do starting at 6:45 a.m., for the official flag raising, and closing down sometime after 9:30 p.m. when fireworks finish showering the park, which is located across from Northglenn City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive.

Parking will be available in the parking lot west of Northglenn City Hall, at the Northglenn Recreation Center lot, east of the Ramada Inn in the vacant lots, and at Wagon Wheel RTD park-n-Ride at 120th Avenue and Huron Street.

If fireworks are not launched by 10 p.m. due to inclement weather, they will be launched July 5.

The July 4th Family Festival is an alcohol-free event.
