A time to say "Thank You!"

The September 8-9, 2007 American Cancer's Relay For Life At Webster Lake was all about volunteers.

The Relay started with the Cancer Survivors' Victory Lap being escorted around the lake by the High Country Brass while the teams cheered them on. In the middle of the day, we had hair stylists from the Mane Design cut girls' hair for Locks of Love which provides hair pieces to children who can not afford them.

By dinner time, the Outback Steakhouse on 120th Ave. provided over 500 meals for all the Relay participants and their guests, with Chick-Fil- A providing dessert and a night time snack. Our Luminaria Ceremony's guest speaker was Diane Groff who is a two time cancer survivor. Her message was to make the most of every moment that has been given to you. All day long, we had volunteers come to Relay to help.

The next morning, we ended the Relay with The White Birds Unlimited who did a dove release. All of our Teams, Team Captains and Planning Committee are volunteers. We can not do this Relay without ALL of our Volunteers. They make Relay for Life At Webster Lake possible. Thank you!
