YEAR OF THE ENTREPRENEUR Social awareness of entrepreneurship and the value that society places on it are keys to the future. We increasingly recognize that low rates of business innovation may be the result of cultural values. If the public has a low level of interest in starting a business and limited appreciation of the economic function of entrepreneurs, we should institute initiatives to modify attitudes and encourage new firms.
