Pedro's Planet keeps businesses "green"
Did you know that it takes 17 trees to make one ton of paper, or that the average office worker generates from 120 to 150 pounds of waste paper each year?
An office supply company with a unique approach - Pedro's Planet - knows those facts very well. Last year alone, it recycled over 600,000 pounds of office waste paper. Pedro's Planet is the only office supply company in Colorado to offer recycling services to its customers. While Pedro's Planet has no competition from other office supply companies on the recycling front, it chooses to deliver its paper recycling service for free.
"We wouldn't be in this business if it was just about selling office supplies," explains
Pedro McMillian
, who founded Pedro's Planet. "Like the name suggests, we want to help the planet by doing things in a more environmentally friendly way."
Pedro's Planet, which sells over 2,500 recycled products, delivers office supplies to businesses and carries away their waste paper, plastic bottles and electronics for recycling all with one truck in one trip. Literally. Talk about shrinking your carbon footprint!
Pedro's Planet has a philosophy of giving back to communities in which it is located. In Colorado, money received from the sale of recycled paper is donated to Community Shares of Colorado.
With free, next-day delivery, competitive pricing, a catalog with over 30,000 office supplies and a focus on strengthening the communities in which it works, Pedro's Planet is helping business that want to be "green." Go to www.pedrosplanet.com and check out ways that you and Pedro's Planet can help protect the planet.
