Circuit City Stores Inc., one of the nation's leading retailers of consumer electronics, announces its presence at the Northglenn Marketplace on 104th Avenue and Interstate 25.
The Richmond, Va. based company, operates 604 superstores and five mall-based stores in 158 U.S. markets. Even though there is no precise opening date, Circuit City hopes to start operations in February of 2007.
At this time, the former Mervyns store and new home to Circuit City at the Marketplace, is going through major remodel and renovation to accommodate the new and expanded merchandise assortments, new fixturing, open layouts, checkout lanes and open stock products required of the store. Circuit City will occupy the first floor in plans to be open by February of 2007. Panattoni Development Company, LLC, one of the most active real estate development companies in the country and owner of the former Mervyns building, will continue negotiations with a different retailer to assure the occupancy of the second floor of the building.
"We are very proud to bring a high quality retailer to this great shopping center. It was wonderful working with the City of Northglenn; everything came together very well. City staff was very motivated and we hope to continue this great working relationship," said
Will Damrath
, Director of Retail Development for Panattoni Development Company, LLC.
"We are excited to have Circuit City choose Northglenn as a place to do business. The Marketplace location offers great business opportunities, and the city wishes Circuit City great success at this location," said
Kathie Novak,
mayor of Northglenn.
