Is there an "authoritarian" in the house?
Contributed by: DR. SEAN REIF D.C. on 4/8/2008

Personalities are described as being a behavioral tendency toward dominance and leadership, a preoccupation with achievement. These personality traits drive an authoritarian to seek leadership positions within the group.

A burning desire to succeed. He pushed himself to live up to the examples of his ancestors. Along with his determination, came a life long sympathizing with those who fall short of success. Dr. Sean Reif D.C. understands that a certain image and a measure of theatrics are necessary to capture the attention of those whom he leads.

Self confidence and leadership are twin brothers. This claim hangs on an ability to lead and inspire. "Don't tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.

Congratulations to the Northglenn - Thornton Rotary Club, the Denver Metro North Rotary Club and 420 citizens in attendance to the Odell Barry Celebrity roast for a good time poking' fun at our friend and mentor "Odell." Specifically, we thank President Blake Feik and President Jerry Rohlfs for their organization of the event and all the members who participated in many aspects of securing sponsorship and silent auction items.

Special event thanks goes to Gene Ciancio, Mayor Wellington Webb, Mayor Novak, Mayor Busck, Billy Thompson, Peaches, Larry Zimmer and the Barry family for letting us enjoy your celebrity in our community.

Thank you Glenda Barry for being such a great sport, he couldn't have done it all without you.

Guide me, O thou great Redeemer, Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but thou are mighty, Hold me with thy powerful hand; Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more. Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing stream doth flow; let the fire and cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through: Strong deliverer, Be thou still my strength and shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fear subside; Death of death, and hell's destruction. Land me safe on Canaan's side: Songs of praises I will ever give to thee. For thine is the ultimate authoritarian.

Sean, although I understand your intention to draw parallels and compliment Odell, I think your poor choice of the word "authoritarian" is misleading and grossly inaccurte. Connecting that word to Rotary is also an insult. Please check the definitions and retract.
