September 11th marked the 27 th anniversary of one of Adams County's most well known charity golf tournaments, the Mary Ciancio Memorial Golf and Tennis Tournament.
This year's event at The Ranch Country Club raised more than $130,000 to benefit Access Housing, CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties, and Community Reach Center. Major event sponsors were Anheuser Busch, Broncos Stadium Management, GO Automotive Group, RDS, Inc., Rocky's Autos, Inc., and Waste Management.
A poignant moment came during the awards program when Rick Doucet, CEO of Community Reach Center called Don Ciancio to the podium to present an award in recognition of Don's 27 years of service as chairman of the Mary Ciancio Memorial Golf and Tennis Tournament. Ciancio announced that this will be his last year as chairman, and expressed a wish that those in attendance would continue to support the non-profit organizations that benefited from the tournament.
