NORTHGLENN -- This coming August 25 and 26 are the days set aside for the Sixth annual Two-day Yard Sale and viewing of the Stonehocker Western Heritage Farmstead. Stop by the Thede-Stonehocker circa 1900's home from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 10950 Fox Run Parkway in Northglenn. This is the site for the sale handled by the Northglenn Historic Foundation members and volunteers
Volunteers and donations needed.
Come to buy and bring some fun and saleable donations to help raise funds for continued restoration and landscaping of the home and 12-acre park. Tax deductible donations for the Yard Sale can be dropped off either day or picked up earlier if you call a foundation member at 303-451-1834 or 303-457-3542. Donations should be clean and in working condition with suggested prices already marked, if possible. Please price to sell, but prices will be adjusted at the sale if needed and bargaining may take place. Items not sold will be donated to the Lupus Foundation.
We'll recycle electronic equipment for a price.
If you have dead or dying electronic equipment sitting in your garage, office or basement, bring them by and, depending on the piece, volunteers will accept and deliver these items to a Recycling Center for double the fee that the center will charge for them. All pieces must have names, addresses and telephone numbers attached and receipts will be given for electronic items. This will get the equipment out of your garage, make the foundation some money and get rid of some "stuff" for you
Foundation members and volunteers sought.
Since 1996 the sameseven to 10 consistent members of the Northglenn Historic Preservation Foundation have stayed on the Committee/Foundation. New members are needed now to input new ideas, time and dedication. Call
Joanne
at 303-915-9350 or
Joyce
at 303-457-3542 to discuss how anyone can help. All that is needed is a little time, the ability to write letters, make telephone calls, set up fundraising activities or just help activate ideas.
