Contributed by: Steve Bathke on 7/19/2007

Gethsemane Lutheran School located at 10675 North Washington in Northglenn is beginning its 45th year of Christian education. It was established in 1962 by Gethsemane Lutheran Church, which opened the previous year. The original school provided pre-school for four year olds and Kindergarten. Since that time Gethsemane has grown to a full Christian elementary school including Montessori classes for three, four and five year olds and traditional classes for Kindergarten through eighth grade. The goal is to provide a Christian atmosphere in which children can obtain a high quality education as well as Bible study. The school and church underwent a major remodeling and building expansion project three years ago. Gethsemane Lutheran School offers acomputer lab and extracurricular activities such as band and choir as well as league sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball and track.
Gethsemane is holding an open house on Monday, August 6th at 6:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more about the school, viewing the facilities or inquiring about registration. Anyone is welcome to visit at that time or phone 303-451-6908 for more information.
