North Metro adds 10 firefighters to its ranks

On Saturday, April 7, 2007, North Metro Fire Rescue District was proud to swear in 10 new fire fighters to the job. These "rookies" successfully completed a 13-week academy which tested their skills in all areas associated with the position of an entry-fire fighter.

Each of the 10 new recruits have been assigned to one of the six Fire Stations throughout the 115 square mile Fire District. These new firefighters will remain on probation throughout the remainder of their first year on the job and undergo additional testing and field training to complete their rookie requirements.

North Metro Fire Rescue is dedicated to your quality care. North Metro Fire Rescue provides fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response and rescue services to their community. Formed in 1946, the district now covers 115 square miles with a population of approximately 90,000 people including the City and County of Broomfield, the City of Northglenn, and unincorporated areas of Boulder, Adams, Weld, and JeffersonCounties.
