Beginning September 1, 2007, North Metro Fire Rescue will see two outstanding employees assume their new roles within the Fire District. Fire fighter Carisa Willibey will fill the rank of Engineer, and Engineer John Maes promotes to Lieutenant.
Engineer Carisa Willibey was hired by North Metro Fire Rescue in 2000. Since the start of her employment seven years ago, Carisa has worked as a firefighter, but also dedicated her time to specialize and serve as a Technical Rescue team member. Finally, Carisa serves on the Fitness Committee and holds the extra position of Peer Fitness Trainer.
Lt. John Maes began his seven-year career with the District in May of 2000. Starting as a fire fighter for the District, John promoted to the position of Engineer prior to his current service as a field officer.
In addition John has balanced his career with extra service in community focused and technical response activities. John is a certified car seat technician that helps caregivers properly install their child car seats. In addition he has served on the Fire District's Customer Service Committee and recently completed a resource guide to be placed on all Fire District apparatus to help community members searching for additional assistance in crisis situations.
Finally, John also has dedicated his time and talents towards two of the Fire District's operational teams-Technical Rescue and Wildland Firefighting.
North Metro Fire Rescue is proud to promote these two dedicated members that have demonstrated their continued service and growth for the benefit of District citizens.
