This January Jeff Dorrell began his position as the second Life Safety Educator for North Metro Fire Rescue District. His role will focus on maintaining and expanding adult life safety education programs and overseeing various community events. One of his first assignments will be coordinating the 9 Health Fair event at the Broomfield United Methodist Church in April and working with seniors throughout the Fire District on life safety education skills and awareness.
After a 20 year career as a fire fighter for Central Fire District of Santa Cruz, California, Jeff explored his new career options in his new home state. The opening for a Life Safety Educator position at North Metro couldn't have been better-it was a welcome return to the fire service!
Jeff's duties will also include managing the Child Passenger Safety Seat Program, the Community CPR Program, the Business Fire Warden Program and more! If you any questions regarding the free programs and services offered by the Fire District, you may contact him at 720-887-0404 ext. 2261.
