Northglenn/Broomfield-Starting August 1, North Metro Fire Rescue will begin their Annual Summer Food Drive. Donations collected from August 1 through August 15 will be used to replenish supplies at two local food banks that benefit the citizens of Northglenn and Broomfield.
Citizens are asked to donate canned goods or any non-perishable food items. "Citizens in our Fire District have always been generous and we hope that they will once again be able to give to their neighbors in need," said
Wendy Krajewski
, public information officer for North Metro Fire Rescue. "Any contribution, big or small, will help make a difference."
Community members wanting to donate items can visit one of North Metro Fire Rescue's fire stations from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The locations of the stations are:
Station 61 1275 W. Midway, Broomfield
Station 62 10550 Huron Street, Northglenn
Station 63 10946 Irma Drive, Northglenn
Station 64 13515 Lowell Boulevard, Broomfield
Station 65 9900 W. 120th Avenue, Broomfield
Station 66 1750 W. 160th Avenue, Broomfield
Citizens who have questions about the food drive may call
Pam Kutchen
at North Metro Fire Rescue Headquarters at 303-252-3004.
