Risky new ideas ahead

Many of us will avoid the public risk of suggesting new ideas. We may not admit it, but when we think of suggesting a new idea. It is especially risky for anyone to bring up new ideas in a community where everyone know one another. No one wants to appear foolish. Many of us are apprehensive about what we say publicly, so we tend to limit our suggestions to those that are safe. The problem with that is . . . Safe is rarely CREATIVE. Very little of consequence is achieved without someone taking some risk.

I encourage risk taking, if we moderate the risk with trust and hard work and commitment to success.

I agree,. There are too many people that are quick to scoff at new ideas and even to run down the charactor of someone with a new idea. We would never have gotten where we are in this country if people weren't willing to suggest new ideas. I am active in my community and there are too many residents that say things like this. "we never did it that way before" "It would never work" " We can't do that" These pessimistic people would be surprised at all the comfort and convienence items they enjoy that all started with someones new idea.
