WOMAN TRIES TO BRIBE OFFICERSA 23-year-old Thornton woman was arrested at 2 a.m. July 20 th on two active warrants for her arrest. Witnesses at the Golden Cue, 11964 Washington St., said that the woman and two men had been in the club when an altercation started. One of the men pulled a gun out and then took off. When officers contacted them, the woman allegedly told officers that she would give them drugs and $300 to let her go. While at the police station, the woman allegedly tried to strike the officers and repeatedly made it difficult for them to fingerprint her. She was held at the Adams County Detention Facility.
911 HANG UPS LEAD TO SUSPECTED DOMESTIC
At 9 p.m. July 10, officers responded to two 911 hang-ups that came from a home on the 10700 block of Pecos Street. When the officers arrived, a crying woman told the officers that she had argued with her boyfriend, but he didn't hit her. Officers doubted the woman was telling the truth, due to the appearance of fresh scratches on her face and shoulders, but she refused to tell officers that her boyfriend had done anything to her. When they later tried to contact her, the woman stuck to her story. The case was deactivated due to the unresponsiveness of the woman.
TRAFFIC STOP YIELDS DRUGS
An officer on patrol at the intersection of 104 th Avenue and Melody Drive made a traffic stop on a car with expired temporary tags at 1:35 a.m. July 9. The driver told officers that he must have left his proof of insurance at home, and upon searching the car, officers found methamphetamine and illegal mushrooms. The man was arrested and held at the Adams County Detention Facility.
