TRASH CAN STOLEN
An officer responded to a report of a stolen trash can at 10:45 p.m. April 8 on the 100 block of Northglenn Drive. The officer spoke to the owner, who said she put the can out at about 7:30 p.m. The woman said her neighbor told her she saw a light colored car drive by the woman's home and a man in the passenger seat grabbed her trash can and dragged it down the street. The officer searched the neighborhood, but was unable to locate the trash can. The can is valued at $58.
CAR STOLEN
Officers responded to a report of a stolen car on the 12000 block of Race Street at 7 a.m. April 10. A man told the officers he parked his car on the side of the building at 9 p.m. the previous evening and when he returned the next morning, the car was gone. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
WOMAN ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF THEFT
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle behind the Ross department store at 401 W. 104th Ave. on April 10 at 9:17 p.m. When the officers arrived they noticed that the car had been blocked by a security vehicle. An office spoke to the driver who said she had been given permission by the store's manager to take two shopping carts of clothing from the back of the store. The officers spoke to the manager who said she never gave the woman permission to remove any items from the store. Police also discovered suspected methamphetamine in the woman's car. The woman was arrested.
TOOLS STOLEN
An officer was sent to the 1100 block of Elmer Drive on a report of a theft at 4:06 a.m. April 13. The officer spoke to a man who said someone had opened his garage door and stole his toolbox. The man said he forgot to lock his garage door. The tools were valued at $1,500. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
