MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUNK DRIVING
An officer pulled over a truck at the intersection of West 104th Avenue and Huron Street at 12:28 a.m. April 14 for running a red light. The 21-year-old driver appeared drunk and told the officer he was the designated driver for the evening. The driver failed voluntary roadside maneuvers and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
WOMAN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS
An officer pulled a car over near the intersection of West 104th Avenue and Melody Drive for crossing over three lanes without using a turn signal. The officer spoke to the 25-year-old driver who said her license was suspended. The officer also determined the woman was wanted on two warrants. The woman was arrested.
MARIJUANA, PIPES FOUND IN CAR
An officer pulled over a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of West 98th Avenue and Huron Street at 12:29 a.m. April 15. When the officer spoke to the 19-year-old driver, he could smell marijuana in the vehicle. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle and the officer recovered two pipes and two bags of marijuana totaling less than one ounce. The driver was issued a summons.
CAR STOLEN
An officer was sent to the 11000 block of Washington Street at 10:15 a.m. April 15 on a report of a stolen car. The officer spoke to the 31-year-old owner who said when he went to leave for work, he noticed the car was gone. The man shares the car with his mother, but she did not have the car. The man told the officer he wanted his car to be considered "grand theft auto". The officer reported the car as stolen.
MONEY STOLEN FROM CAR WASH
An officer was sent to Pro Clean Auto Wash, 11416 Pearl St., at 9:22 a.m. April 16. A man told the officer $18.25 was missing from a coin box. The officer examined the box and it appeared to have been broken on the end. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
TRUCK STOLEN
An officer was sent to the 10000 block of Huron Street at 10:15 p.m. April 15 on a report of a stolen truck. The officer spoke to a 47-year old woman who said she parked her truck at about 6:20 p.m. and when she returned, it was gone. The officer reported the truck stolen. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
WALLET STOLEN
An officer spoke to a woman at the Cracker Barrel restaurant, 350 W. 120th Ave., at 1:44 p.m. April 19 who reported a stolen wallet. The woman said she was in line at the restaurant's gift shop when a man bumped into her. The woman said she thinks the man stole her wallet that was sitting exposed in her purse. The officer spoke to the restaurant's manager, who said he had searched the restaurant and could not find the wallet. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
MAN ARRESTED ON WARRANT
Officers pulled a car over on the 10000 block of Huron St, at 5:34 p.m. April 19 for driving erratically. The 43-year-old driver failed a roadside sobriety test and was arrested. When the officer searched the driver, they found two different types of prescription narcotics and determined the man was wanted on a warrant and his license was expired.
