PAIR ALMOST STRUCK BY CAR
At 3:15 p.m. April 22 an officer was sent to the Marshall's parking lot, 10650 Melody Drive, on a report of a hit and run accident. A woman told the officer she and her friend were in the parking lot when a woman drove by very fast, almost hitting them. The woman said she and her friend had to jump out of the way of the car. The female driver cursed at the pair as she drove by, the woman said. The officer attempted to run the car's suspected plate number, but it came back inconclusive. The case has been inactivated due to lack of leads.
VAN STOLE FROM BRAKE SHOP
An officer met a woman in the lobby of the Northglenn Police station, 11701 Community Center Drive at 9:21 a.m. April 22. The woman told the officer she brought her van into Tires Plus, 920 E. 120the Ave., to have some work done on the brakes on April 21. An employee called her later and said the job would cost about $1,100. The woman told the employee she did not want the work to be done and she would have the van towed from the parking lot the next day. The woman told the employee to leave the key under the driver's side floor mat and to leave the van unlocked. The next day the woman went to retrieve the van and it was gone. The employee told the woman he had left the van as she had requested. The officer reported the van as stolen.
TRAILER STOLEN
An officer was sent to the 11000 block of Huron Street at 9:02 a.m. April 24 on a report of a stolen trailer. The officer spoke to a man who said a trailer, valued at $2,000, was taken from a parking lot sometime between Jan. 1 and the time of the report. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
CHECKS STOLEN
An officer met a woman in the lobby of the Northglenn Police Station, 11701 Community Center Drive at 12:15 p.m. April 22. The woman told the officer that someone she knows stole two books of checks from her home on the 11000 block of Emerson Street. The case remained under investigation at the time of the report.
