Police blotter: Brother fights brother



SHOPLIFTING REPORTED
A Northglenn Police officer was sent to Ulta, 421 W. 104th Ave., on a report of shoplifting at 6:30 p.m. May 20. The officer spoke to a 21-year-old employee who said a man and a woman came into the store together and stole $356 of cosmetics and left in a blue car with Colorado plates. The officer ran the car's plate number and spoke to the car's owner. The owner said her daughter drives the car but that she was currently at work. The daughter did not match the description of the female suspect given by the employee. The case remained under investigation at the time of the report.

BROTHERS FIGHT IN PARKING LOT
A Northglenn Police officer was sent to the parking lot of the Souper Salad, 11930 Washington Street, at 8:10 p.m. May 20 on a report of disturbance. The officer spoke to two men in the parking lot, one of whom had a bloody nose and a cut lip. The 36-year-old man told the officer he had gotten into an argument with his brother regarding a Pee Wee football game earlier in the day. The man said his brother had been calling his cell phone, threatening him. The man said he told his brother if he wanted to settle the argument "like men" he knew where to find him. The brother arrived with two other people and a fight ensued in the parking lot. By the time the officer arrived, all of suspects had left the area. The case was inactive at the time of the report.

WOMAN ISSUED SUMMONS
Northglenn Police were sent to the 900 block of West Ford Place on a report of a burglary in progress at 10:26 p.m. May 20. The officers spoke to a 35-year-old woman who said her ex-boyfriend's sister came to her apartment and began stealing items she claimed belonged to her brother. The officers spoke to the woman who said she had a note and key from her brother that gave her permission to enter the apartment and retrieve his belongings. The woman was issued a summons for trespassing.
