MAN THWARTS ROBBERY
A Northglenn police officer was sent to the 200 block of East 107th Place at 3:33 a.m. July 2 on a report of a group of men attempting to break into a car. The car's 29-year-old owner told the officer he looked out his window and saw a group of about five men surrounding his car, attempting to break in. The man chased the group up the street. The man said the group climbed into a truck that was parked up the street and drove away. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
TV, 9MM HANDGUN STOLEN
A 28-year-old man told a Northglenn police officer July 2 that his home on the 11000 block of Downing Drive had been broken into. The man said a television, a surround sound system, a DVD player and 9mm handgun had been stolen sometime in the previous six days. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
LAUNDRY STOLEN
A Northglenn police officer was sent to the 10000 block of Pecos Street at 1:20 a.m. July 7 on a report of a theft. The officer spoke to a 30-year-old man who said somebody had stolen his clothes from a dryer in the apartment complex where he lives. The man said he went to check on his clothes and found them strewn about the laundry room and three pairs of short and five shirts were gone. The man said he ran around the apartment building but could not find anyone. The officer gave the man his card and told him to call him if he sees anyone wearing his clothes.
STOLEN TRAILER RECOVERED
A Northglenn police officer responded to the 11000 block of Washington Street at 2:46 p.m. July 1 on a report of a stolen motorcycle trailer valued at $800. The officer spoke to a 64-year-old man who said the trailer was locked with a small padlock. The officer discovered the trailer had been found in Federal Heights and the investigation was inactivated.
