Boy suspected to have been kidnapped by father


The Northglenn Police Department is currently investigating a custodial kidnapping that took place on 07/27/2009 at 1 a.m.

On 07/27/2009 at approximately 1:22 am, officers were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of W. 114th Avenue on the report of a kidnapping. It was reported to officers that the child was removed from the Grandmother's / Guardian's home by the biological father, William Rivera.

Rivera is described as being 5' 04", 210 pounds, shoulder length black hair kept in a pony tail. He was last seen wearing brown shorts and a white t-shirt. The child, five year old Josias Rivera, was last seen wearing blue shorts, blue t-shirt and green camouflaged Croc sandals. He is described as being approximately 4' tall and weighing 60 pounds. There is no vehicle information and unknown direction of travel.
